IU Debate to recruit members

IU Debate will recruit members for this school year from 7 to 8:30 p.m. this and next Wednesday in the School of Public and Environmental Affairs room 276.

Much like IU’s athletic teams, the debate team travels and competes throughout the school year, adviser Brian DeLong said in an email.

“We have coined the term ‘academic athletics’ to emphasize the similarities,” he said.
The team’s competitors include schools from the Big Ten Conference as well as other universities from across the country.
