Man-made wonder

From Egypt to Vegas.

Following his popular mixtape “Nostalgia, Ultra.” and distinguished features on Jay-Z and Kanye West’s “Watch the Throne,” Frank Ocean’s career has become a boiling pot ready to overflow.

Now, he goes forth and gifts us with a 10-minute chef-d’oeuvre; overflow commences.

Although “Pyramids” is deceivingly close to two separate works crammed into one, careful transitions and a consistent lyrical theme solidify the sonic bond.

Ocean guides the listener from a dream-like experience with ancient Cleopatra back to the grimy world of modern love with a stripper-prostitute.

Ocean’s artful command of storytelling builds a concept of drama, betrayal and passion while maintaining a notably abstract touch.

His vocal illustration complements his composition that captures a nearly perfect blend of funk, soul and the occasional spurt of EDM.

Ocean released a short video that previews the second half of the song while promoting his first solo album, “Channel Orange,” which will supposedly be released by major record label Def Jam on July 17.

Make way as another member of Odd Future rises to stardom.
