Cellphone pornography rumors cleared by police

Officials at Bloomington High School North called police March 27 in response to rumors of child pornography found on a cellphone.

Bloomington Police Department Sgt. Steve Kellams said police seized the cellphone and have since analyzed the contents.

Kellams said detectives found no videos of child pornography on the phone.

The original rumor that BHSN officials alerted police to was that a 15-year-old student was showing other students a video of two students in their late teens having intercourse.

This rumor has proven unfounded, Kellams said.

The case is now inactive.
