Bloomington police investigate possible aggravated battery on B-Line Trail

Bloomington police are trying to determine whether an aggravated battery called in was actually an attack or simply an accident, Lt. Bill Parker of the Bloomington Police Department said.

A caller told police a man had been attacked with a piece of steel or iron pipe Saturday on the B-Line Trail near South Rogers Street, Parker said.

However, the alleged victim and a witness told police the man had experienced a seizure.
 
The victim was transported to IU Health Bloomington Hospital.

Parker said the man had injuries that would corroborate either story.
