Police searching for woman suspected of sexual misconduct with 13-year-old boy

Bloomington police are searching for a woman who might have attempted to solicit sexual acts from a 13-year-old boy, Bloomington Police Department Sgt. Steve Kellams said.

The boy told his father about the incident, and the father reported it to police Monday.

The boy was at Building Trades Park, across from IU Health Bloomington Hospital, when a stocky blonde woman in her late 20s approached him. She allegedly offered the boy a condom and told him to meet her in the bathroom, but he refused, so she left.

Kellams said the boy reported that a similar proposal had been made to his friend in the same area.

Police are continuing interviews to verify and confirm details of the boy’s story. Kellams encouraged anyone with possible information to contact the police department at 812-339-4477.
