Spring break housing deadline approaches

The deadline to sign up for spring break on-campus housing is 5 p.m. Friday.

Residential Programs and Services offers temporary housing for students who wish to stay on campus during the break.

Students should expect to stay in a floor lounge with other students. Due to limited space, RPS encourages students to make reservations soon.

Students must pay a $50 non-refundable flat fee for break housing, which is billed to students’ bursar accounts upon reservation.

Reservation confirmations with check-in details will be sent to students no later than March 7, according to the RPS website.

Students wishing to stay in spring break housing can check in March 10 and must do so by 10 a.m.

Students in Ashton Center, Briscoe Quad, Collins Center, Eigenmann Hall, Forest Quad, Foster Quad, McNutt Quad, Read Center, Teter Quad and Wright Quad must leave the dorms by 10 a.m. March 10.  The dorms will reopen at 8 a.m. March 18.

During this time, no desk, food or mail services will be provided.

Those in Willkie Quad, Union Street Apartments and Hillcrest Apartments who choose to stay in their living spaces during the break should notify their building’s center desk of their plans.

RPS is not asking residents of Banta, Bicknell, Hepburn and Nutt Apartments, Campus View, Evermann, Redbud, Tulip Tree and University Apartments to report their break housing plans .
