Bloomington Police Department Officer Shawn Hines arrested two Bloomington residents at about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday after finding them with drugs and stolen hair care products.
Hines saw Thomas Bailey, 25, and Carrey Cassidy, 26, running from a house near South Walnut Street Pike and South Henderson Street and grew suspicious, Lt. Bill Parker said. Both were wearing dark clothing.
After detaining them, Hines found a knife and a bag of pills on Cassidy. A bag of pills also slid down Bailey’s pant leg while Hines spoke with Cassidy, Parker said.
Hines also found hair care products, such as beard trimmers and scissors, on both men, Parker said. Bailey told Hines that Cassidy stole the cosmetics.
“Officers were not able to determine where from or who the owners should be,” Parker said.
Both men were arrested for possession of controlled substances, and Cassidy was also wanted on warrant for a parole violation.
Parker said officers are still looking into the theft of the hair care products.
