Missing Showalter fish not related to late-night revelry

The missing Showalter Fountain fish was not a victim of last night's victory over no. 1 Kentucky.

"In November, it was damaged, and the physical plant removed it," IU Police Department Chief Keith Cash said.

Though Cash said officers did keep watch at the fountain and other largely crowded areas, like Kirkwood Avenue, no fish were damaged by celebrating fans.
