Fire reported at McNutt

Two trash cans were reported on fire at McNutt Quad on Saturday night.

At about 11:20 p.m., the Bloomington Fire Department and IU Police Department responded to the fires on McNutt Bordner's second floor, IUPD Officer Matt Gilbert said. He said they were in a bathroom and a utility room on the floor.

Bordner wing residents were evacuated. After about 20 minutes, they were allowed to re-enter the building.

Fire officials and Gilbert said IUPD will conduct a further investigation.
