A 50-year-old Bloomington woman was reportedly sexually assaulted at a bus stop Tuesday.
At approximately 4:54 p.m., officers responded to a report of a sexual assault at a bus stop on West Third Street in front of a Verizon Wireless store, Lt. Bill Parker of the Bloomington Police Department said.
The woman was waiting at the bus stop when she was approached by a man who began flirting with her, according to the report. Parker said the man then opened his wallet and offered the woman money for sexual favors.
When the woman declined his request, Parker said the man allegedly groped one of the woman’s breasts. A witness to the incident told the man he was calling the cops, so the suspect fled. When police arrived at the location, they were unable to find the man.
Police said the suspect is described as an Asian male, in his 20s and of average height and build. He was also described as having spiked black hair, a goatee and a spider tattoo on his forearm.
