Demonstrators discussed guidelines for inhabiting Peoples Park on Kirkwood Avenue during the second day of Occupy Bloomington.
The occupation is a local version of the Occupy Wall Street demonstrations taking place in New York City to protest corporate greed. The group was more than 200 strong Sunday, the first day of the event, setting up camp in the park and marching in front of Chase Bank.
There were about 80 demonstrators in the park Monday, when those remaining gathered to discuss the ground rules for the continued occupation and make a list of supplies needed for the extended stay.
Items on the list included clean blankets, biodegradable soap and drinking water (not bottled).
