Lady Antebellum's best yet

ladya

In some songs, you don’t really care about the lyrics; the sound itself carries the song without much thought to the meaning. But “Own the Night” by Lady Antebellum is a true trifecta. The words, the music and the voices come together perfectly, and any one of the songs could be a radio hit.
The songs are about relationships in the present and past. And songs such as “Cold as Stone” had me looking up the lyrics so that I could try to sing along.
The mixture of Charles Kelly and Hillary Scott, the co-lead vocals, with Dave Haywood, harmony singer and multi-instrumentalist, form a beautiful country sound that deserves a spot higher than some of the meaningless drivel that is on most top-song lists. The merging of a rough-around-the-edges voice, sweet, dulcet tones, attention-grabbing chords and truly thoughtful lyrics create an amazing experience for their listeners.
There was nothing offbeat in this album. It was a beautiful collaboration from some truly talented artists and deserves all the admiration it can receive.
