Children’s Tibetan Art and Culture Day
9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday
Tibetan Mongolian Buddhist Cultural Center
3655 S. Snoddy Road
An interactive event with monks assisting children in art projects including sand mandalas, butter sculptures and prayer flags. A workshop includes a brief explanation of the tradition of various crafts. Tibetan dance and music will conclude the program.

Golf For Kid’s Sake
Starts at 12:30 p.m. and lasts into the evening. Wednesday
Eagle Pointe Golf Resort

Register as an individual golfer or form a team of four. A dinner at 6 p.m. will feature IU Athletics Director Fred Glass. Prizes will be awarded.
The event benefits Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Central Indiana.

A Slice of Life: Artifacts found on the grounds at Wylie House Museum
9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Starts Friday and lasts until July 21.
Morton C. Bradley, Jr. Education Center
317 E. Second Street
A special exhibit of early to mid 19th-century artifacts found at the excavation site of the Morton C. Bradley, Jr. Education Center. Household items such as Staffordshire transferware china, medicine bottles and even a bone toothbrush help to tell the story of domestic life in early Bloomington.
Admission is free.

Every Thursday, join musicians in Third Street Park in Bloomington for a recurring summer concert series.
This Thursday’s featured musical group is The Lost Shoe String Band, playing novelty songs from the early days of blues.
