Traffic delays expected for commencement weekend

Construction around the intersection of North College Avenue and the State Road 45/46 Bypass is expected to cause traffic delays during the commencement ceremonies Friday and Saturday, according to an IU press release.

Drivers are encouraged to allow themselves extra time for their trip, and to take an alternate route to avoid this intersection.

Traffic will be limited to one lane in each direction at the intersection. Saturday, officers from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department and the IU Police Department will direct and regulate traffic at heavily traveled intersections as well as parking at Assembly Hall, IUPD Chief Keith Cash said in the release.
