CITY POOLS OPEN
Both of Bloomington’s outdoor pools, Bryan Park Pool and Mills Pool, are scheduled to open Saturday.
The pools will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends and 3 to 7 p.m. on weekdays until June 9, then they will be open every day from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Daily admission: $2.50 adults, $2 youth (17 and younger), waterslides $2 (Bryan Park Pool only)
SPRING MILL STATE PARK CIVIL WAR DAYS
Events on the 150th anniversary of the Civil War will take place at Spring Mill State Park, about an hour south of Bloomington.
There will be battle reenactments Saturday and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Reenactors will play the roles of Abraham Lincoln and others on Memorial Day. Entrance to the park costs $5 per Indiana vehicle and $7 per out-of-state vehicle. bleeding heartland rollergirls bout
Come watch the Bleeding Heartland Rollergirls bout the rollergirls of Fort Wayne at Twin Lakes Recreation Center.
Doors open at 5 p.m., the bout begins at 6 p.m. Admission ranges from $5 to $12.
Tickets can be purchased at Bloomingfoods, Vintage Phoenix Comics, www.brownpapertickets.com, or at the Sunrise Box Office.
BLOOMINGTON SPEEDWAY
Watch races at the Bloomington Speedway this Friday.
Grandstands open at 5:30 p.m., hot laps start at 6:30 p.m., races start at 7:30 p.m.
General Admission $12, Pit Admission $25. Kids younger than 12 get in free.
