Yellowcard's best album since 'Ocean Avenue'

Yellowcard fans, rejoice! In a world where our favorite pop-punk bands are turning toward that “typical mainstream pop” sound, Yellowcard stands out as refreshing in its latest album, “When You’re Through Thinking, Say Yes.”

Long-time Yellowcard fans will appreciate familiar-sounding songs like “Sing For Me” and “The Sound of You and Me” while “Hang You Up” and “With You Around” showcase the band’s versatility.

The band’s trademark violin really adds a lot to the album and is featured more prominently in this album than previous ones. Listening to tracks like “For You, and Your Denial” makes you wonder why the genre doesn’t have more violins.

“When You’re Through Thinking, Say Yes” features lyrics that go deeper than most bands of its kind and add a unique but catchy sound. You won’t need to think much at all before you decide that it’s definitely time to say yes.
