The IU Student Association Supreme Court has neither accepted nor rejected a petition filed Friday that called for the impeachment of some IUSA executives.
The petition was filed by Thomas Miller, former Indiana Daily Student employee and current IUSA member, Connor Caudill, former IUSA Congress member and current IDS columnist and IUSA member Landon Kellogg.
Caudill and Kellogg withdrew their petition early Sunday after receiving more information and realizing some facts were not completely accurate, according to the revocation.
Miller withdrew with no prejudice, reserving his right to pursue the issue at another time.
“Out of respect for Connor and Landon, I agreed to remove their names from the petition, but by signing I do not believe the brief contained any substantial factual errors,” Miller said.
The Supreme Court e-mailed the petition Saturday to IUSA members and the dean of students. In it, the Court’s Chief Justice Tara Maloney announced the justices would meet to discuss the possibility of accepting the resolution and a possible public hearing.
After the initial meeting Sunday night, Maloney said the court had not accepted nor rejected the petition.
“We’re still considering the matter,” Maloney said.
