Armed men rob Fortune Cookies

IU Police are investigating the armed robbery of Fortune Cookies restaurant after an employee notified police at about 2:12 a.m Monday.

The armed suspect is described as a black male about 6 feet 2 inches tall wearing all black, including a zip-up hooded sweatshirt, ski mask and stocking cap. The second suspect was also described as a black male, according to an IUPD press release.

Two employees were inside the closed restaurant when two men entered the kitchen. As an employee approached the men, one showed a black handgun and took approximately $200 from the employee.

The men then fled the restaurant through a back door, and it’s believed they traveled west, according to the release.

Both IUPD and Bloomington Police responded to the robbery. IUPD asked that anyone with information about the robbery should call IUPD at 812-855-4111.
