Police schedule Monroe County sobriety checkpoint

The Indiana State Police announced they will conduct a sobriety checkpoint in Monroe County Friday evening.

The exact location and time will not be released, according to an ISP press release.

Drivers who are not impaired should expect to delays of two to three minutes while going through the checkpoint.

The ISP said drivers should call 911 or the closest ISP post if they see another driver that may be impaired.

Drivers who report a suspected drunk driver should be prepared to give a description of the vehicle, location, and the direction the vehicle is traveling.
