For those registered to vote in Monroe County, the Voter Van is there to help.
Until 7 p.m. today, the van will make trips between the Indiana Memorial Union and the Curry Building, where voters can place early ballots.
The van is run by the IU College Democrats and Democratic Party volunteers from the community in an effort to help people get to the polls.
Today will be the Voter Van’s final day for this election, as the College Democrats will move on to other voter initiatives in the few days leading up to the Nov. 2 election.
The group is expecting a good turnout for extended early voting hours between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., Kelly Smith, president of the College Democrats, said.
Any person registered to vote in Monroe County may vote early at the Curry Building at the northeast corner of 7th and Morton Streets.
The remaining early voting hours for this election are today until 7 p.m., Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Monday from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
