Student reportedly attacked, robbed Saturday on campus

At 2:36 a.m. Saturday, an 18 year old male was reportedly attacked and robbed at the intersection of 17th Street and Woodlawn Avenue, IU Police Department Public Information Officer Keith Cash said in a press release.

The student, who’s name was not released, told police he was walking back to his campus residence when two male suspects approached him. The first, Cash said, was described as a heavy set white male and the second as a skinny black male. Cash said the victim’s cell phone was stolen after being struck by both suspects. The suspects were last seen running between Memorial Stadium and Assembly Hall.
