IU junior forward Will Bruin nabbed another weekly conference award Monday.
Bruin earned a share of Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honors after scoring with 11 seconds remaining to catapult the IU men’s soccer team past then-No. 20 Penn State last Friday.
It was the second such honor of the season for the St. Louis native, who garnered the award along with Michigan forward Soony Saad.
Bruin also earned the weekly distinction earlier in the month after tallying his first career hat trick on Sept. 5 in a 5-1 upset of then-No. 5 UCLA in Bloomington.
Bruin has scored six of IU’s 14 goals after four weeks of play. His six scores rank third in the Big Ten, trailing Penn State forward Corey Hertzog’s eight goals and Saad’s seven scores.
Bruin and the Hoosiers return to play against Evansville at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Bill Armstrong Stadium.
