A pedestrian was injured with a possible broken leg after a two-car collision at about 6:30 p.m. Friday on Third Street and Swain Avenue.
The pedestrian, Michele Bottorff, age 58, underwent surgery for injuries to her legs.
Bottroff exited Mother Bear’s Pizza with a friend and were walking east when the car struck a light pole and Bottorff, according to a IU Police Department report sent by Chief Keith Cash.
Adam Goeppner, age 24, was driving a white Ford Taurus west on Third Street when he swerved into the left lane, hitting a red Buick Oldsmobile driven by IU student Kya France, age 19.
France then swerved off the roadway and crashed into a light pole and hit Bottorff.
Bottorff was conscious, but paramedics bandaged her leg on scene.
The two people in the red car, France and another person, went to Bloomington Hospital with a cut to the arm and neck pain. Goeppner was injured from hitting his head and told police he would drive himself to the hospital, Cash said.
Goeppner was cited for an improper turn at a intersection, according to the report.
