University adds new crosswalk on 10th Street

After two new crosswalks were added to Fee lane this spring, a third has been added between Herman B Wells Library and the School of Public and Environmental Affairs on 10th Street.

Provost Karen Hanson created the Bloomington Campus Traffic Safety Task Force in fall 2009 following an accident involving then-freshman Peter Duong, who died after being struck by a vehicle on Fee lane. The crosswalks are part of the task force’s “Get Street Smart” initiative.
