Bub’s Burgers & Ice Cream

You can have your picture put on the wall if you eat all of their famous “Big Ugly” burger. The patty weighs 22 oz. before they cook it. General Manager Jim McMillan described the restaurant as fun
and casual.

Open 24 hours daily
This Starbucks has undergone renovations during the summer. Go check out the new setting.

Five Guys Burgers and Fries
1199 S. College Mall Rd.
11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily
Five Guys is a quick-service restaurant with an energetic atmosphere, owner Paul Gillard said.  Along with the name, Five Guys serves five food items: burgers, fries, hot dogs, grilled cheese and a veggie sandwich, Gillard said.

The name speaks for itself. Food selections range from ribs to chicken wings to salads.

Briscoe Quad
Under construction until fall 2012
•    Construction will include a complete renovation of Briscoe Quad and will take place in two phases. During the first phase, Shoemaker tower will be closed until fall 2011. Gucker tower will be renovated when Shoemaker reopens and is set to be finished by fall 2012.
•    The renovations will change the community bathrooms to private, shared bathrooms between suites.
•    Currently, most of the center building is closed, and the main desk has been moved to the first floor. More than 500 beds are out of circulation, meaning about half as many residents as usual will be living in Briscoe this year

Tulip Tree Apartments
Under construction until May 2012
•    Currently, 60 percent of the complex is closed.
•    Construction will include renovating the infrastructure, kitchens and bathrooms.

Union Street Center
Under construction until Oct. 2010
•    Rooms are complete, and residents are able to move in.
•    Construction is still in progress on offices, classroom space, landscaping and sidewalks. RPS hopes to be finished within the next six weeks.
