6 injured in SR 37 wreck

Wreck

A car accident on Wednesday resulted in six people being taken to Bloomington Hospital to be treated for injuries, said Michael L. Pershing, chief deputy of Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

At 12:20 p.m. a pickup truck and a minivan collided at the intersection of State Road 37 and Dillman Road, causing the minivan to flip over.

All of the injured were first treated at Bloomington Hospital. One-year-old Malana Perrine was ejected from the minivan while she was still in her car seat. The infant was later airlifted to Riley Hospital, and 8-year-old Allison Adair was airlifted to Methodist Hospital for further treatment of extensive injuries, Pershing said.

The driver of the van, Jessie Perrine, 25, and passengers Rose MacIntosh, 46, Caleb Adair, 10, and Caleb Baugh, 11, are being treated for injuries and held for observation.
The driver of the pickup, Barry Jones, 53, of Bloomington, was treated and released at the scene.

Monroe County Sheriff’s Office deputies and a Sheriff’s Office accident reconstructionist are investigating the accident.
