Heart-full

Butch Walker’s newest album is pretty cool. The songs have different feelings to them — well what I mean to say is that the songs aren’t all light and airy or rock. Some have a pop-ish feel to them.

What I love about this work is that in the songs you can sometimes here Walker’s voice crack, which makes it feel more real.

As someone who has never listened to Walker before, the songs sound thoughtful enough to me. They’re not all dark or super fluffy. They make you think about the words and feel heart in the meanings.

The background music is good too. I really like it when I don’t notice that I start to move with beats of songs. And that’s what happened when I started listening to this album.
A couple of times I thought I heard a bit of country coming through, but I really wish there were more upbeat songs. Other than that, “No Heart” is a solid listen.
