Massively effective

fjia;

“Mass Effect 2” has the daunting task of living up to one of the more engrossing role playing games from the last decade. However, developer BioWare makes sure the sequel surpasses the original in nearly every way.

Combat feels more fluid with a better cover system, smarter artificial intelligence, a better health system and new powers that are more fun and easier to use.

The main plot isn’t particularly great. Instead, the game deserves praise for how much it makes you care about the universe and its characters. It is nuts how a single mission here packs more character development than most games do through their entire story.
The dialog system remains great and its even better now with the inclusion of trigger moments, encouraging you to pay attention even the boring conversations.

If you still have doubts about the game, know that the president from “The West Wing,” Martin Sheen, voices the commanding officer. That is awesome at its purest.
