Gov. Daniels to meet with Obama at governors’ meeting

INDIANAPOLIS — Gov. Mitch Daniels and other state chief executives will meet with President Barack Obama during the National Governors Association’s winter meeting in Washington, D.C.

Daniels’ office says he will attend a governors-only meeting with Obama and members of his Cabinet at the White House on Monday morning.

Daniels also will attend a governors’ dinner with the president and first lady Michelle Obama at the White House on Sunday evening.

Daniels on Tuesday will receive an award from the National Guard Youth Foundation for his support of a voluntary intervention program that provides training and education for high school dropouts.
