INDIANAPOLIS – A follower of the Sikh faith claims in a lawsuit that a company at Indianapolis International Airport denied him a job as a shuttle bus driver because his faith dictates he wear a turban and a beard.
Indirjit Singh of Greenwood is suing Atlanta-based Air Serv Corp. in U.S. District Court in Indianapolis.
In his religious discrimination complaint, Singh claims he was not hired because his beard violates the grooming standards in the company’s employee handbook.
