Evolutionist Richard Dawkins to speak on campus

Evolutionary biologist, author and leading atheist Richard Dawkins will challenge the idea of intelligent design Monday in a lecture called "The Greatest Show on Earth: Evidence for Evolution." 

The lecture is sponsored by Union Board and the Secular Alliance of IU. The event is free and no ticket is required. It is at 7 p.m. Monday in the IU Auditorium.

A question-and-answer session will follow the talk and the event will conclude with a book signing.

The lecture is part of the College of Arts and Sciences Fall 2009 Themester: "Evolution, Diversity and Change," which coincides with Charles Darwin's 200th birthday and the 150th anniversary of his famous book, "On the Origin of Species."
