CORAL GABLES, Fla.— School officials say a student is in custody after another student was stabbed to death at a South Florida high school.
Miami-Dade schools assistant superintendent Enid Weisman said a male student was killed at Coral Gables Senior High School on Tuesday morning. Weisman, who was at a state Board of Education meeting in Miami, says another student is in custody.
Miami-Dade police sent out a news release saying they were responding to the school's address for a "death investigation." The school was put on lockdown shortly after the incident.
Authorities have not released additional details.
