IU launches new mobile program

From Facebook and Twitter to e-mail and texts, access to everything through students' cell phones has become vital. IU Mobile can now be added to the list.

As part of IU’s information technology plan Empowering People, the University has launched a new service designed for cell phones with data plans, said Brian McGough, director of enterprise software for UITS and the project manager. The Web site, m.iu.edu, provides students with access to online information including IU bus schedules, classifieds, a directory and Oncourse. It was launched last week.
