Am I the only person who is concerned that IU is going to perform research on the Bubonic Plague?
Am I the only person who is just a teensy-weensy bit worried that no matter how often the clothes of the lab workers are going to be scrubbed and no matter how much the exhaust fumes of the experiments are going to be filtered, that maybe a little
culture might find its way into our atmosphere and cause just a bit of a problem?
What kind of a nitwit would think because of the irrational fear that “somewhere” some mad scientist who “hates America” is working on developing the culture of the Bubonic Plague (or something as vile), that we at IU should do it first?
This is germ warfare, and only an idiot would believe that there is any benefit to America winning it.
It does not take a genius to realize that IU is not near a major population center where we have an ‘advantage’ in recruiting this type of research.
It also does not take a genius to realize that whoever placed this secret laboratory in our midst thinks that Hoosiers are stupid yahoos who don’t mind taking a little Bubonic Plague culture research and embracing it for the love of our country and the good of humanity.
