Orienter guide of the best places to take your parents

Because you'll never be able to afford them otherwise

Farm Bloomington is owned by Chef Dainel Orr, who opened the eatery after playing chef at fine restaurants all over the world.

Scholar’s Inn
717 N. College Ave.
Open from 5 p.m. to close, daily, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday for a champagne brunch
One of the nicest joints in town, Scholar’s Inn will cost about $30 to $40 per person and offers a good selection of steaks and seafood. A reservation would be a good idea, especially on busier weekends.

Malibu Grill
106 N. Walnut St.
Open from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. for lunch on weekdays, from

Malibu is a slightly casual place, though the food won’t reflect that. (The menu’s selections are said to be inspired by Wolfgang Puck.) Anything you order will taste amazing, but consider the wood oven-roasted chicken.
