IU will participate in severe weather tests today between 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. and between 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
The tests are part of Severe Weather Preparedness Week and will emphasis tornado drills, according to the event’s flier.
The tests will be ran by the National Weather Service, Indiana State Police, the Indiana Department of Homeland Security, the Indiana Department of Education, the Indiana Broadcasters Association, the American Red Cross and Amateur Radio Operators, according to and IU press release.
People are suppose to review procedures they follow such as located a safe shelter during severe weather, according to the press release.
The IU-Notify system will not be part of the tests today.
