The Helene G. Simon Hillel Center is looking for the most talented vocalist on campus.
The center is sponsoring “Campus Super Star” competition at 7 p.m. today in the Buskirk-Chumley Theater, according to a press release from the IU Hillel Center. Thirty-one contestants will compete for the grand prize of $5,000.
The contest is formatted after the TV show “American Idol.”
Twenty-seven of the contestants are from IU, according to the press release. The other contestants are from Anderson University, IU-Purdue University Indianapolis, Ball State and Ivy Tech Community College.
The event is free with a student ID. Non-students will have to pay $5 to get in.
