Hungry? You’ve got to try these.

Recipes

Pudgy Pies

Cook time: 5-10 min

What you need
Pudgy pie maker (Wal-Mart sells the “Camp Cooker” for $10.)
Can of non-stick cooking spray
Bread slices
Your choice of filling — we love any fruit pie filling, pudding, Nutella, or
a combination of chocolate chips, peanut butter, and marshmallows.

1. Spray the pudgy pie maker with cooking spray, and place a slice of bread in each side.
2. Fill with your choice of fillings, fold closed, and place in fire.
3. Cook for 5 to 10 minutes per side, or until bread is a beautiful golden brown.

Cook time: Until marshmallow is golden brown

What you need
Roasting stick
Graham crackers
Large marshmallows
Caramel candies

1. Place a marshmallow on the roasting stick and place a piece of caramel on the stick directly after it.
2. When your marshmallow is golden brown (or burnt to a crisp; we won’t judge) remove the marshmallow by sandwiching it between two graham crackers, and slide it off the stick.
3. The caramel will slide into the center of your marshmallow, and you’ll vow to never eat a regular s’more again.

Doughboys

Cook time: 5-10 min

What you need
Two-prong roasting stick
Tube of biscuit dough
Cinnamon
Sugar

1. Weave one piece of biscuit dough around the prongs of your roasting stick until it feels secure.
2. Cover with cinnamon and sugar and roast over the fire. (Along with a side of fruit, this makes a great breakfast!)

The classic banana boat

Cook time: 5 min

What you need
Aluminum foil
Large banana
Chocolate chips
Small marshmallows
Cinnamon and nutmeg (optional)

1. Make a large slit in your banana lengthwise, down the middle, but make sure not to cut it all the way to the ends.
2. Pull apart the side of the peel along the slit and stuff with chocolate,  marshmallows, and cinnamon and nutmeg, if desired.
3. Wrap the stuffed banana in foil and place next to the fire, but not directly on the flames.
4. After about 5 minutes, pull your banana boat away from the fire (be careful, it will be very hot!), and let it cool for a few minutes before eating the gooey mess straight from the peel.
