The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating a private aircraft whose pilot had to make an emergency landing in Monroe County on Thursday morning.
A Beech-35 departed from an Indianapolis airport and was carrying one person, said Elizabeth Cory, FAA spokeswoman.
At about 6:30 a.m., the pilot made an emergency landing five miles south of Bloomington, Cory said. No one was injured during the landing.
The severity of the damage to the aircraft is still being investigated, Cory said.
