In light of repairs, the IU Art Museum has scheduled a special closing today through Wednesday.
Jerry Bastin, the IU Art Museum’s building and gallery superintendent said four cracked glass panels need replacement on the roof.
However, because the broken windowpanes are on the Thomas T. Solley Atrium, it does not affect any collections, he said.
A construction company cracked two of the glass panels, and the other two cracked on their own, Bastin said.
All of the repairs should be finished by Wednesday, and the museum will reopen with its regular hours on Thursday. But if it rains, the work will be postponed and the museum will remain open.
Regular hours for the IU Art Museum are Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m.
