I blame the booty call

Before college, girls have a certain vision of romance that awaits them. Some imagine meeting the man they will marry during freshman Welcome Week. However, these naive young women are in for a reality check once they arrive on campus. 

In college, chivalry is so dead it might as well be in our history textbooks. Boys don’t take girls out on “dates,” but rather enjoy the benefits of collecting phone numbers at parties and choosing one to dial at 3 a.m. for the one-on-one afterglow.

The strangest part is: Girls accept the reality of the “booty call” and answer it. Often, girls will even stay awake waiting for a boy to call for some late night action. However, these hookups usually don’t lead to relationships, but rather brokenhearted girls going out the next night and repeating the cycle.

College boys across the nation have managed to figure out a way to crush the American feminist’s dream by making women into sexual playthings. Of course girls are more likely to view men as the more powerful gender. After four years of answering booty calls, it will be an easy transition to continue answering to men, professionally and otherwise.
