MUNCIE – A Ball State University student has been arrested as police continue to search for the gunman in an off-campus shooting that injured two other students and a third young man.
Twenty-three-year-old Izes J. Cross of Muncie is being held without bond at the Delaware County Jail. He was arrested Monday and faces several preliminary charges, including conspiracy to commit armed robbery.
Police say witnesses identified Cross through a photo lineup. Muncie Police Sgt. Mike Engle said the person who fired the shots was still at large.
Engle said the victims told police that Cross and the gunman came into the house Friday night, and the gunman told everyone to hand over their wallets.
All three victims were treated and released from area hospitals.
