30 Rock
Premiere airs 9:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, on NBC
In the second season’s last episode, Liz feared she’d been knocked up by Dennis, though luckily it was revealed before the ending credits that the bull sperm in her cheese curls was causing her hormone imbalance. This fall, Don Geiss will hopefully come out of his coma and grant Jack the promotion he covets, and Liz will begin the process of adopting a child, something she became determined to do after the false alarm.

The two-hour season finale of Grey’s Anatomy left relationships in the balance. Heroes
Premiere airs 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22, on NBC
Last season, Nathan, Peter, Matt and Slyar recovered from the explosion, and the season’s main focus was around “the company” and its research on the Shanti virus. At the end of the season Sylar was back, Nathan was shot and Niki was trapped in a burning building. Next season, the question of what is right and what is wrong will be tested, and some of our Heroes could turn to the dark side.

House M.D.
Premiere aired 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, on FOX
Never one to keep the good times rolling, House messed up his bromance with Wilson by basically killing his girlfriend, “Cut-Throat Bitch” Amber. Expect a better screen time balance between House’s old team and his new one. Fans were pissed last season about the lack of focus on Cameron and Chase, but that’s going to change. Also look for a Cuddy-House hookup.

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Premiere airs 10:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, on FX
“Sunny” does not really build on its episodes, so it’s hard to predict what will happen next. But if you recall, Mac’s dad is waiting to get released from prison to kill Mac and Charlie (maybe not if they succeed in smuggling heroin up their anuses). But in this season, the show will go balls out due to increased popularity. Expect bigger productions, bigger theatrics and jokes that could slay a kitten.

Smallville
Premiere airs 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18. on The CW
After years of teasing, Lex finally discovered that Clark isn’t quite of this Earth. After their stirring confrontation inside the Fortress of Solitude, Clark’s home up north collapsed, with the two inside. With Lex, Lana, Lionel and the show’s terrible executive producers gone, expect “Smallville” to feel fresh and actually good. Clark finally accepts his destiny and begins work at the Daily Planet with Lois. No word on the flying though.

Ugly Betty
Premiere airs 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, on NBC
During the second season of of “Ugly Betty,” Betty met Gio, the deli shop owner, and found out the truth about Henry. Bradford passed away, Wilhelmina was fired, Amanda searched for answers and Claire escaped from jail. The season ends with Betty having the option of choosing to be with Gio or Henry, and I think Betty will choose to be with Gio and take him up on the offer to go to Rome.
