Men's basketball schedule announced

The 2008-2009 IU men's basketball schedule was released by the University today.

Highlighting the season is a trip to Hawaii for the 25th annual Maui Invitational where the Hoosiers will take on in-state rival Notre Dame, as well as a match up against Gonzaga at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

"Considering our circumstances, we are very thankful to have the opportunity to be on national television the number of times that we will be this season,” first-year coach Tom Crean said in a statement. “The day-to-day coverage that our program will get via the Big Ten Network is so important for us. Not many programs have a 24-hour vehicle to exclusively reach so many alumni, family, friends and fans. We are very fortunate that there is so much interest in Indiana basketball.”
