Clinton campaign pays debt

Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., greets supporters and signs autographs following her speech April 25 at Assembly Hall.

Sen. Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign has paid off its $55,000 debt to IU for events it held on the Bloomington campus, according to Associated Press reports.
IU Spokesman Larry MacIntyre told the AP that IU Auditorium Director Doug Booher has received the final payment of about $32,000 from Clinton for campus campaign visits, including Clinton’s IU stop in late April. The campaign had previously paid about $3,000 for Chelsea Clinton’s visit in March.
In May, Clinton’s campaign paid $19,372 of the amount it owed IU, which went toward Bill Clinton’s visit to IU April 2, MacIntyre said in a May 29 Indiana Daily Student article.
