The Bloomington Police Department is still investigating an armed robbery that occurred at about 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Kmart Pharmacy, 3175 W. 3rd St.
The suspect approached the pharmacist and demanded specific narcotics and money, according to an BPD press release. He pulled back a jacket to reveal a handgun placed in the waistband of his pants. The pharmacist then placed an undisclosed amount of cash, OxyContin and Methadone in a bag at which point the suspect fled the store. No one was injured in the incident.
The estimated value of the drugs stolen is about $10,000.
Video surveillance was taken at the store and a photo displaying the suspect will be released at a later time.
