Being a native Minnesotan who spent much of my early life in Tennessee, Texas and Alabama, I always find it amazing how people in both parts of the country can express such stupid ideas, such as in your last couple columns, Scott Leadingham, completely denigrating other Americans. By far, the worst examples of written and verbal hostility and ignorance originates north of the Mason-Dixon Line. This is due to the fact that the South has been the national whipping boy for the last 143 years. Perhaps, instead of trying to be “cute,” you should open a book once in awhile. Isn’t that what you are in school for in the first place? Maybe you could try to put an end to the pervasive ignorance and hostility towards other Americans.
