The Tony Award and Pulitzer Award-winning musical “Rent” will conclude its two-day Bloomington stop at 8 p.m. at the IU Auditorium. \nBased on the opera “La Bohème,” which is currently playing at the Musical Arts Center, the musical follows the lives of a group of young bohemian artists in the early 1990s who are trying to make it in New York City. \nThe musical revolves around love, coping with AIDS, homosexuality and finding ways to pay the rent on their Alphabet City loft apartment. \n“Rent” was made into a feature film starring most of the original cast and was released in 2005. Tickets for the show are $19 to $40 for students and $37 to $59 for the general public. They can be purchased at the IU Auditorium Box Office or through Ticketmaster.
