In defense of journalists before and after Bob Woodward: \nIn Peter Stevenson’s Sept. 18 article, “‘Bob Woodward: democracies die in darkness,’” IU School of Journalism’s Director of Communications Beth Moellers indirectly stated that, as a compliment to Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Bob Woodward, “‘Very few people are Pulitzer Prize-winning journalists ...’”\nNot according to the World Almanac and Book of Facts.\nThe fact is that since 1918, more than 726 journalists and/or newspapers have received the Pulitzer Prize in Journalism. IU’s own Ernie Pyle, the man the School of Journalism (building) is named after, won the prize in 1945.
