7 designers present work at Axis of Evil fashion show

Axis of Evil will present its first fashion runway show from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. today at Jake’s Nightclub, 419 N. Walnut St.\nSeven local designers have submitted their work, all of which represents “a soft reset of alternative/subculture aesthetic through manipulation of the old-school do-it-yourself mentality and integration of the brand-new and cutting edge,” according to a news release.\nThe show, titled “Control Alteration Delineation,” will feature clothing styles from dark subcultures, including goth, cyber, punk and industrial.\nDesigns will be judged by a panel of fashion-industry and academic professionals, and prizes will be awarded.\nMothertruckin’ DJs, Freeze Etch, Nazrin Lorhall and MC Vicious will provide live music.
